Q. Do you keep a watch on my website 24x7x365?
Ans. Yes and No! While we do not monitor individual websites, we monitor our servers round the clock to see if they are functioning correctly. So if our servers are functioning properly, then your websites will, if they're hosted by us.
Q. Are there any exceptions to this?
Ans. There could be several reasons why a website hosted by us is not reachable even if the servers are up and running perfectly. The most common of them are:
  1. Your website does not point to our servers. For a website to resolve to our servers, it is essential that you change the name servers of that domain to the ones we provide you. You can verify this by checking the whois for that domain. Depending on the hosting plan, you can find the required name servers to be pointed to from within your client area.
  2. Sometimes ISP routing errors make a website unreachable in selected geographical areas. If your website is not reachable and you're unsure of a routing problem, you can send us the traceroute results for the domain for us to investigate further.
  3. You may not have renewed your domain name. If the domain has been purchased through us, our system will send you several renewal reminders well in advance before its expiry.
  4. Your account may not be paid for. If your hosting account was due for renewal and you did not renew it, your account could get suspended. You can login into your client area of our automated billing system and check for any pending invoices. Once you make the payment, they will be restored immediately.
Q. Do you offer web designing and programming services?
Ans. No, currently we do not offer these services. However, you can easily find them on sites like elance.com, scriptlance.com, etc. In fact, you will get better options, negotiate with them and even check their rating before proceeding.
Q. I would like to create my own website, can you teach me how to do this?
Ans. No, we do not offer these services. However, we do offer website builder plans where you can easily create websites without needing to know HTML and programming. And if you still want to learn designing, there are many free resources if you search on google.com. We would rather advice you to get some good books or join some web design classes.
Q. What technical support do you offer?
Ans. We've prepared an exhaustive knowledgebase to help you get started, which is being updated regularly. We even have training videos from within your cpanel control panel, that will help you learn things like using file manager, creating autoresponders, creating POP accounts, resetting passwords, creating a database, adding cron jobs, etc. We even have task specific video tutorials like configuring your email client (outlook express, eudora, etc), using FTP clients like cuteFTP, WSFTP, etc. If you do not find a solution to your problem, you can create a support ticket and one of our support desk executives will revert back to you at the earliest.
Q. I have a question that I cannot find an answer to, can I call you instead of creating a ticket?
Ans. You can certainly call us. However, we prefer that you create a support ticket. This is because:
  1. It gives us time to research your problem if necessary before giving you an answer.
  2. We have a record of the problem and the solution which can be added to the knowledgebase.
  3. If your query was answered incorrectly, it can be corrected by admins who monitor requests routinely and take action against the support executive.
